THE REVEAL...
Well, it's finally done. I finished on Wednesday night at about 11:30pm. By 6:30 pm the next day we had a house full of guests. Whew! just in time.
Here's the tour...This is the entry at the front door. This is a view from the entry looking upstairs. Here is the living room....and another view of the living room.We put in the new kitchen about a year and a half ago and we still have a some trim to put up around the cabinets but, at least the walls are done now.The hallway off the kitchen.
I'm taking a break from painting for a while.

WOW! I like the color even more now that I see the finished product! That looks fantastic.
You done good.
a houseful of guests?
Looks great!
a whole HOUSEFUL of guests? :-(
(Ahem ... I'm thinking Sue wanted to be part of the "housefull of guests". Best to give her what she wants for a day or so ... )
And Sue, *I* wasn't a part of the guest list either ... *sniff*
matt, you are SO smart. I think im being phased out...:-)
Oooh aaaaah very nice! Looks great!
Now I understand what you were saying. This is the respectable painting part to fool the straight world and the wild gay parties were later in the day after ten pm when Mr and Mrs straight were in bed sleeping. It is understandable then why we don't get to see those pictures. I'm catching on now! ; )
Hi, Scott. I hope you don't mind me peeking at your blog. I saw that you are following sooo-this-is-me's blog, too, and I saw you are from Iowa. I live in VA, but I have lots of relatives in Iowa, mostly around Grundy Center. Your house project is really looking good! Loved the pic of the Brady bathroom. Oh, I love Bar Harbor, too...my partner and I fell in love with it on a road trip.
Scott- it looks really good! I like the kitchen especially~
ok, ok, its lovely, now how about something new?
It looks like you have painted the exact same colour (plus two related shades) that I have done my livingroom/diningroom/hallway and front entrance! Mine is called Maple Syrup (Benjamin Moore).
An angled paintbrush and painter's tape really help so you don't bleed onto the trim. At least they were necessary for me. :)
I love the kitchen walls!
Thanks for inviting us in.
I really like your use of color-- what is that... umber?
cb- It's "bread Basket" from Pittsburgh Paints. It's a little more pumpkin than we had originally thought, but we like it.
