1/31/37 - 1/19/08

Sadly, Suzanne Pleshette died Saturday of respiratory failure. She had battled lung cancer since 2006.
I've been a fan of hers since I was a kid. I grew up with and loved many of the Disney movies she starred in. "The Shaggy D.A." (1976) "Blackbeard's Ghost" (1968) "The Ugly Dachshund" (1966) as well as Alfred Hitchcock's classic "The Birds", among countless other movies and television shows since the 1950's.
She also appeared in several episodes of "Will And Grace".
And, who could ever forget her surprise appearance in the final episode of "The Bob Newhart Show". What a shocker THAT was!

What a wonderful actress.

Wow! This is such a terrible loss, because she was beautiful and a terrific actress. I've enjoyed watching her since the "Bob Newhart Show", one of my favorite all-time shows. She stole the show in the short-lived sitcom where she played a TV producer's grandmother in Miami (can't remember the name).

Bless you, Suzanne! You gave us many wonderful laughs!
